27 DAMAJAGUA WATERFALLS
The Damajagua Waterfalls are a rare treasure laboriously carved over centuries by the ever-working mallet of Mother Nature. Spend a day exploring these fascinating cascades drilled into limestone and swim in their refreshing pools of crystal-clear water.
Your journey begins as you hop onto the back of a comfortable safari-style truck, greeted by a team of experienced tour guides. After a brief safety briefing, you’ll find yourself amidst the immensely beautiful natural landscapes of the Damajagua area. Head to the natural springs and relish the opportunity to bathe in the depths of the gleaming natural pools.
Take time to navigate through an extensive maze of tunnels, nestled within caves and ramps overflowing amidst invigorating waterfalls reaching heights of 13 feet (4 m). Slide down natural slides and leap from rocks into the water as your guide watches over you.
Next, traverse through a dense tropical forest, where a thriving world of wildlife invites discovery. Arrive at a new set of waterfalls and dive headfirst, swimming across and sliding down natural water slides. Explore secluded waterfalls with names like «La Tinajita» and «La Virgen,» which hold countless Taíno legends.
Then, head to the small town of Imbert, where you’ll stroll through a local market. Purchase souvenirs of handmade products and crafts with distinctive Dominican style before embarking on the journey back to your hotel.

You must be able to walk on unpaved or uneven terrain. If you’re pregnant, you cannot participate.
